Survey of Archaeology at Croton Point Park

Sunday, June 12, 2022  09:00am  11:15am

Croton Point holds evidence of human presence stretching deep into the past. Since the early 20th century numerous archaeological projects have found traces of different lifeways here, some dating to over seven thousand years ago. On Sunday, June 12 Croton Point Park Naturalist and NYS Archaeological Association representative John Phillips will lead a hike to the many archaeological "dig" sites on Croton Point and describe their characteristics and importance.

Entry fee: $5 with Park Pass, $10 without Park Pass; program is free. Ages six and up. Three mile hike, wear sturdy shoes. Meet at Croton Point Nature Center
